Baryo Pilipinas, The Hague

Baryo Pilipinas

Baryo Pilipinas is a Philippines Restaurant in the center of the Capitol city of the Netherlands, The Hague. It is the only Philippines restaurant in the Netherlands to my knowledge. It is situated in the Fluwelen Burgwal number 51 just across the city hall and between the Central Station and the Spui. From both it is not even a five minutes walk. At the outside you almost don't see that it's a restaurant. Of course there are tables and chairs outside but it doesn't give you a feeling that it is a Philippines Restaurant. Only when you go inside you get that feeling. The staf is very friendly and they know how to explain the different kind of dishes what is, in my opinion, very important if you never had the original Philippine food. The one thing that is straith away an eyecatcher is the little Jeepney that is furnished as a bar. The toilets are clean and decent.  The main food of the Philippines is rice, vegetables, lechón (suckling pig), chicken and lots of fish. So if you're going to the Hague and want to eat Asian food but then in a different way try the Restaurant Baryo Pilipinas and i know you are going to enjoy it.
